The journey of a humble 1966 Porsche 912 from backyard beater to a 100% electric vehicle.

THE BEGINNING

It all started with a scooter. And too many Porsches.  Years ago in a moment of reverse-almost-midlife-crisis I bought a 1962 Vespa.  Heck, I already had the Porsches.

Since my youth I wanted to own a Quadrophenia-style italian scooter.  So I found a beautifully restored one, poetically, the same age as me.  Once I had it for a few years, I came across a company in Seattle who was offering a retrofit kit to turn the drivetrain into a fully electric scoot.  Once I did, I really fell in love with it.

Fast forward a few years.

After years of buying way too many new Porsche 911's I needed to get off the new-porsche treadmill.  So after my very pleasant intro to electric vehicles via the scooter, I decided to convert a classic VW Beetle. Ya, a VW.  Then changed my mind.

Heck, if I was going to convert a classic and keep it forever, why not the car I really loved.  The Porsche.

That's where the story begins...
